Mothers & daughters are welcome to a night of discussing the book “Close to Famous” by Joan Bauer. Foster McFee and her mother find themselves in a new town, with new adventures. Both Foster and her mother face many challenges along the way, but Foster’s baking obsession might just help them when they need it most. Snacks served.
YOUNG ADULT SUMMER READING
Teens and tweens are encouraged to participate in our
“Beneath the Surface” summer reading program. This year’s
theme will explore many fun ideas of what lies beneath the
surface, such as zombies, underwater life, and what lies
beneath Egyptian and Superhero masks! Take part in our fun
summer reading program to win prizes and to be eligible to
attend our end of summer Pizza and Raffle Party. Find out
what lies beneath your own surface while getting in touch
with yourself through Yoga and Art Programs. Other special
programs will also take place during the summer including
our “Ice Cream Lab” and “Manga Drawing Workshop”.
More information will be available on June 12th.
Help Needed!
Volunteer readers are needed for our Read-to-Me Program. If
you would like to participate in this program and read to a
younger child, please call the Children’s Service Desk beginning June 14th.
Young Adults going into grades 5 & up are invited to participate.
