  • Arm Chair Historian

         If you enjoy discussing the big issues of the day, along with a helathy dose of history, politics and religion, the Armchair Historians Book Club is for you. Moderated by librarian Chris Schnupp, it attracts like minded readers who enjoy Chris' input on the mix of non-fiction, biography and fiction selections offered. Authors such as Doris Kearns Goodwin, Erik Larson and David McCullough are just a few of those whose books have been enjoyed by the members on a monthy basis at evening meetings. 

  • Classic Delights Book Club

         Certain books live in our minds forever and each time we read them, we discover more about the beloved characters and our selves as we journey into the world of great ideas and even greater literature. Librarian Nylah Schneider leads these bi-monthly evening discussions on favorites such as Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Willa Cather's Death Comes to the Archbishop. 

  • Page Turner Book Club

         From baseball to the Holocaust, family relationships to English royalty, current economic conditions to sorcery, the Page Turners involve themselves in social, historical and economic issues all wrapped up in fiction, non-fiction and biographies by authors such as Geraldine Brooks, J.K. Rowling and J.R. Moehringer.

  • Mystery Rap Book Club

         If your mind craves the satisfactions of solving a good mysterdy while enjoying a well-written book, the Mystery Rap Book Club is your choice. The moderator of this book club leads you through the maze of books written by classic mystery writers such as Agatha Christie and Dashiell Hammett to today's favorites such as Carl Hiassen, Henning Mankell or, on a lighter note, Janet Evanovich monthly at day and evening sessions.
